Planetary Mining

Introduction:
Planetary mining is the process of extracting valuable minerals from the surface of planets. The mining sites are in locations that are generally not suitable for larger mining operations, which requires a person to visit the site with a collection of small mining drones which will extract the minerals.

Requirements:
20 license points
500,000 credits to pay for damages

Procedure:
The first thing you need to locate is a planetary mining center. These can be found on various planets, including capital planets. Once you locate a mining facility, follow these steps to begin:

1.) Type START. You will be prompted to pay a small fee to cover any damages that may occur.
2.) GET DRONE FROM PLATFORM (or just GET DRONE)
3.) USE DRONE.
4.) PUT DRONE ON PLATFORM (if it's full)
5.) Repeat steps 2 through 4 until all drones are filled.
6.) ENTER the TRANSPORT

More Detail!
Basically, you're using all of the drones on the platform until they are filled with minerals. You can determine how full a mining drone is by LOOKing at it. Once a drone reaches its maximum capacity, put it back on the platform and get another.
You can use the MAP command to find your way around the mining site. The MAP/WALK commands also support a numeric argument between 1 and 6 to refer to the drone that you're looking for.
Beware that your mining site may not contain enough minerals to fill every drone to maximum capacity. It's also worth noting that you can use multiple drones at the same time to make the operation go more quickly.

More More Detail!
You can type LIST in a planetary mining facility to see point requirements and how much you get for each type of mineral that the mining site offers.
Higher levels typically give more credits per unit of mined material, but may also come with greater risks such as:
- Tunnel rats attacking you and tearing your clothes to shreds. Combat gear and/or varmint repellant is recommended for protection (at Cobalt-level or higher).
- Tunnel instability that results in rocks breaking free from the ceiling and hitting you hard on your head. Armored helmet is recommended for protection (at Gold-level or higher).
